SETLIST:I Don't Care If There's Cursing

Sometimes a long car ride is just what you need to shake up your daily music regime. For us, it began with “Hey Doll,” off Deer Tick’s newest (and fifth) LP, Negativity. But we were listening to shuffle, and with the next song, Guns N’ Roses’ “Estranged,” we were transported back in time. For the rest of the trip we took a musical journey, back to Marvin Gaye’s “Got to Give It Up (Part 1)” and then springing forward to Black Joe Lewis’s just-released “Vampire”—back to Warren Zevon’s “Carmelita” and then ahead to some new Free Energy. Back and forth, back and forth, you get the idea. So we figured we’d put together some of the highlights in one playlist so you can get transported far away while still remaining in your seat.
